The Developing Personality....

I find this position SO funny! Kevin ALWAYS leans down this way to the kids. Collin crawls towards something he wants and raises up to this position to get it. I did not realize it was an exact mirror image until this day when Kevin came home from work and Collin greeted him at the door. I had to snap the picture!
He has known where the cereal is for a while and finally figured out how to get into it! Actually it wasn't that hard because the small box wasn't closed very well. All you had to do was shake it and the loot spilled out! He is so proud of himself!

San Antonio Stock Show

Kevin tells me my posts are much too wordy, and after losing a very lengthy one last week, I thought he was probably right. So here, I am going to attempt to simply set the scene and then narrate the pictures that follow.

Last Friday, we headed south for the San Antonio Stock Show with a group of fellow FFA friends and familes. Here is what happened for us.....

On the way, all 3 kids fell asleep for quite a long time. It was very peaceful and Kevin and I got to have an entire conversation where we actually heard each other....

Sleeping children = Happy Daddy driver
He was REALLY asleep....notice the bubbles.....

We ate with all the families most of the time and Collin got to enjoy his first taste of lime, courtesy of Mr. Sanders. No worries--their baby is 3 months younger and I will get a hold of her soon to repay the favor.....

But surprisingly, he really did enjoy it and dove for more!

Most of the Sanders kids and Abby all awaiting what was to be EXCELLENT mexican food....

There was a petting zoo at the show. Fun for the kids even though Collin tried most of the time to escape the stroller....

Here is just enjoy the beautiful weather....before the front blew in.....

Byron found what he was interested in......

Abby enjoyed that pig. She was starting to get sentimental....
She is feeling the separation already....

The exhaustion of the show sets in to fellow FFA-ers....

Miss Parker and my beautiful girl.....She loves that teacher!
Just a few shots of the choas that was quite overwhelming to me. There were 660 pigs that were just Hampshires...that does not count all of the other countless breeds to come....

The stands were PACKED! I literally had to scale the side to get a seat.
Sorry for the fuzz of the next two, but I had to get the shot. Here she enters the first pen in front of the first judge. She got sent to the truck. :(
She did a GREAT job!
The separation is too much to bear. It is about to drive her nuts to not have an animal to take care of and feed everyday. That situation is soon to be remedied....more to come on that....

Arm in arm.....
It was a great experience and we are all very glad we did it. The boys were WAY better than I anticipated and there was very minimal meltdowns...by all parties. It is definitely something we will be repeating in the future!
